About
I fell in love with Chinese Medicine as a young woman who worked 3 waitressing jobs at the same time. I went to an acupuncturist for wrist pain and ended up being treated for digestion and pms. As a healthy skeptic I was doubtful during my initial treatments but as a curious person I quickly learned how beautiful and nuanced TCM can be. Fast forward 25 years and I am still in love with Chinese Medicine. I received my four years Master’s Degree in TCM from The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco in 2010. I am a licensed Acupuncturist with the state of California as well as a Diplomat of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine with the NCCAOM. In my practice I focus mostly on pain, nutrition and women’s health. As a former massage therapist and anatomy nerd I feel very comfortable treating structural pain and my passion for nutrition and women’s health has led me to extended study and focus in both holistic nutrition and women’s reproductive health. As a hospice volunteer for 20 years, I am currently a volunteer acupuncturist for Hope Hospice serving patients throughout the East Bay. In my off time I can be found riding motorcycles and chasing adventures with my husband and pup, baking, crafting, record hunting, and my favorite pastime, being Auntie JoJo.
